Our vineyards are situated in Montealegre del Castillo, 800 above sea level, in the extreme southeast of the province of Albacete, in a very poor and chalky soil.

The cimate is contiental with predominantly westerly dry winds. The winters, with numerous frosts, are very cold while the summers are hot and dry, with a striking contrast between day and night temperatures. Rainfall does not usually exceed 150 metric litres squared per annum.

The such extreme growing conditions of our vineyards, some of them with more than 30 years old, on dry land and glass shaped, make the monastrell variety the best suited to these conditions, producing scarely 3.000 kilos per hectare. Soil treatment is minimal due to the climate and the exclusive use of organic fertilizer.

Polyphenol ripening is followed very closely in order to fix the best time of the harvest which is normally at the end of October.
The harvested grapes inmediately go into 500 kilos cages or boxes in order to arrive intact to the winery. Once pressed and after cold maceration, they are fermented in stainless steel tanks.
